What You'll Do
- Representing & Defending Clients Including collection cases initiated by original creditors or debt buyers
- For clients who engage the firm in a narrower capacity, providing limited scope legal assistance
- This includes reviewing and editing pro se answer drafts prepared by the firm's paralegals
- This position will rarely require complex litigation and/or attendance at final hearings
- Typically, clients desire to settle through voluntary payment arrangements with the creditors
What You Bring
- Required Qualifications: Active license to practice law in the state of New Mexico, in good standing with the State Bar
- At least 5-years of prior civil litigation experience
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in high-volume consumer debt defense and/or collections
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting at $100,000/year - commensurate with experience (annual reviews with raises up to 5%)
