What You'll Do

  • Representing & Defending Clients Including collection cases initiated by original creditors or debt buyers
  • For clients who engage the firm in a narrower capacity, providing limited scope legal assistance
  • This includes reviewing and editing pro se answer drafts prepared by the firm's paralegals
  • This position will rarely require complex litigation and/or attendance at final hearings
  • Typically, clients desire to settle through voluntary payment arrangements with the creditors

What You Bring

  • Required Qualifications: Active license to practice law in the state of New Mexico, in good standing with the State Bar
  • At least 5-years of prior civil litigation experience
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in high-volume consumer debt defense and/or collections

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting at $100,000/year - commensurate with experience (annual reviews with raises up to 5%)

Physical, Environmental, And Remote Work Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and frequent computer use
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Full remote position: enabling the attorney to telecommute from any dedicated work location within the mainland United States
