About the role

Cayenta, a division of Harris, is seeking an Application Consultant to support strategic IT transformation for utility clients. The successful candidate will act as a conduit between Operations, R&D, and clients, becoming a product expert and trusted advisor.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage superior utility CIS technology solutions for clients.
  • Support new clients through the implementation process, communicate with stakeholders, resolve issues, and ensure successful product use.
  • Train users in system setup, administration, and maintenance.
  • Provide business analysis through gap analysis, root cause analysis, facilitation of business process reviews, and requirements elicitation.
  • Understand and configure applications based on business needs and best practices.
  • Create user documentation and handover documents for support staff.
  • Manage user acceptance testing and change management processes to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Deliver implementation services efficiently to meet project milestones and support resource utilization.
  • Lead subject matter expertise by understanding market trends, client needs, and business practices to ensure product success and maintain market position.

Requirements

  • Problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of an organization.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to roll up sleeves.
  • Experience working with both business and IT groups, preferably in a utility CIS implementation or enterprise software environment.
  • Curiosity and willingness to adopt emerging AI tools to improve workflows, solve problems, and drive efficiency.
  • Experience in software implementation, knowledge of SQL, and experience with CIS processes in a utility environment is a plus.
  • Experience providing software implementation services to the utility industry, including CIS implementation, upgrades, testing, or production support.
  • Strong influencing and coaching skills.

Qualifications

  • Passport and legal eligibility to travel internationally.
  • Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000.
