Relocation Specialist
RELOCATION SPECIALIST SUMMARY
The position serves as a Relocation Specialist for a nonprofit affiliate of the Housing Authority, facilitating the relocation process for residents.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as the main point of contact for administering relocation services.
- Oversees the delivery of relocation services and benefits to residents and their families.
- Provides continuing advice and support to both the Development Team and residents.
- Conducts a thorough needs assessment at the onset of the relocation process.
- Works with residents and/or family members to ensure all needs are understood and met.
- Guides residents and family members through the location selection process.
- Maintains the home-finding process and documents relevant data.
- Reviews and evaluates exception requests and provides solutions.
- Accurately documents conversations, exceptions, move-related expenses, and correspondence.
- Maintains file documentation and ensures data integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Direct client interaction and advisory experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, especially working with spreadsheets
- Strong oral and written communications skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions
- Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge and ability to use typical office equipment (PC, calculator, internet/web etc.)
- Willingness to learn about affordable housing policies & Housing Choice Voucher regulations, policies & procedures
- Ability to interact with staff at all levels while remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient
- Ability to work independently, tracking and managing numerous, simultaneous projects
- Knowledge of general office procedures (e.g., filing, correspondence, scheduling)

$25 to $30/hour, depending on experience

Onsite, Monday through Friday (8AM to 5PM)
