Relief Veterinary Technician
About the role
This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays. As a Veterinary Technician, you will triage and obtain patient history, identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR, place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines, monitor and care for ventilator cases, work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients, and have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
Responsibilities
- Triage and obtain patient history
- Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
- Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines
- Monitor and care for ventilator cases
- Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
- Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers
- Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Veterinary Technician in the state of [State]
- Experience in a veterinary hospital setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passionate about animal care and patient care

Pay
The pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system. Pay range is $20.00 - $40.00 per hour.
