Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with emergency and critical care cases
- Perform patient triage and ongoing patient assessments
- Collect blood, urine, and other diagnostic samples
- Place and maintain IV catheters
- Administer medications and IV fluids accurately
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with emergency procedures
- Perform venipuncture and laboratory testing
- Obtain diagnostic radiographs
- Monitor hospitalized and ICU patients
- Calculate medication dosages and fluid rates
- Accurately document treatments and patient care
- Educate and communicate with pet owners during stressful situations
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment
- Support CPR efforts and other emergency life-saving procedures
- Work collaboratively with doctors and teammates to provide exceptional patient care
Requirements
- Experience as a Veterinary Technician / Assistant (emergency experience is a bonus!)
- Stay cool under pressure and can adapt quickly

- Care deeply about patient care and client experience
- Comfortable working day shifts, overnights, weekends, or holiday shifts as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Veterinary Technician / Assistant from a recognized organization
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in medical terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of basic pharmacology and anesthesia
