Relief Residential Counselor

Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. (NCYF) is made up of a team of devoted and highly skilled professionals and paraprofessionals who provide quality care to the individuals we serve. Our agency is led by a passionate and involved leadership team based out of our Easthampton main office.

About the Role

NCYF opened its doors in 1972 and became incorporated in 1976. We’re an experienced agency with multiple locations which provide foster care services, in home therapy, outpatient therapy, treatment residences, and therapeutic day programs. For nearly 50 years, we have been committed to providing innovative and high quality care to our consumers. Responsibilities

• Work closely with our residents in therapeutic group homes to guide them to success while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
• Implement treatment plans and lead/model activities of daily living through effective use of structure and routine.
• Support the treatment philosophy of the program, centered around the trauma-informed care model.
• Absess and evaluate situations, have a high level of initiative, and have knowledge of acceptable behavior as it relates to at-risk youth.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and can communicate efficiently with parents, schools, DCF, DMH, and other community supports.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with experience in the field.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the principles of trauma informed care.
• Adult & Child CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred (we will train staff).
• Approved CORI & DCF background checks (preformed by the EEC).
• Approved driving background check.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Compensation

$21.00 per hour
