Responsibilities

• Tailor treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Perform surgeries, including routine procedures and complex cases.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
• Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in continuing education programs to stay current with veterinary medicine advancements.

Requirements

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in North Carolina.
• Experience in small animal medicine and surgery is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Passing scores on relevant board examinations (if applicable).
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.

Skills

• Skilled in performing a variety of surgical procedures.
• Knowledgeable in internal medicine and emergency medicine.
