Reliability Planning Analyst

Amentum is seeking a Reliability Planning Analyst to join our team in Clayton, NC. Typical work schedule is Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–2:00 PM; hours may vary based on business demand. Weekend hours may be scheduled to support our 24/7 operation.

About the role

The Reliability Planning Analyst is responsible for the effective execution of all maintenance work controls processes. The primary role is to improve workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination (scheduling) of labor, parts and material, tools, and equipment, required permits, specialized documentation, and equipment access. This position is empowered to manage work priority, develop job plans, define parts and materials, define crafts and skills, and engage the proper resources to develop a safe, effective, and efficient work control plan.

The Reliability Planning Analyst coordinates with operations and maintenance management in developing scheduled maintenance activities and processes; pre-evaluates the need for replacement parts and places orders; and anticipates interruptions in plan to develop backup plans that minimize impact on the facility’s overall functionality or production schedule.

Responsibilities

• Under limited supervision, work on assignments of moderate complexity.
• Interface with all levels of management and outside contractors and vendors.
• Compile and present reports regarding schedule progress, cost analysis, and forecast.
• Utilize computerized programs for analysis of requirements and tracking of projects.
• Coordinate space/facility requirements for modifications and new construction with users.
• Coordinate inventory control and asset management of building equipment and furniture.
• Inspect facilities and evaluate factors such as HVAC systems, lighting, size, condition, and suitability for occupancy.
• Identify, write, and follow to completion RCA Level 1, RCA Level 2, and reliability cost savings.
• Develop new or unusual solutions based on advanced principles within the facilities and construction trades as guided by the plan, schedule, and budget assigned.
• Communicate with outside vendors and contractors/subcontractors.
• Formulate and monitor company facility standards.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Familiarity with CMMS software such as Maximo and SAP.
• Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree; 0–2 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree; or a combination of experience and education.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
• Ability to work various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
• Flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitively during shift.
• Regularly kneel repetitively for shift.
• Ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.
• Ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.
• Walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
• Use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.
• Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
• Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.

Pay

$30–$34 per hour.
