Essential Functions
- Collect, validate, and analyze fleet-wide performance and component reliability data to identify adverse trends, repetitive discrepancies, and systemic failure modes across aircraft systems.
- Conduct monthly evaluation of Pilot Reports (PIREPs) and Maintenance Reports (MREPs) to detect emerging patterns requiring engineering or maintenance program action.
- Perform Final Fix Analysis (FFA) on recurring aircraft system faults, applying root-cause methodology to isolate true corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
- Develop and maintain CASS and Reliability program reports, synthesizing fleet reliability metrics and component removal data for monthly CASS Board review.
- Generate the Mechanical Interruption Summary Report (MISR) for submission to the Certificate Holding District Office (CHDO) in compliance with FAA regulatory requirements.
- Translate raw aircraft data into structured, executive-ready findings that inform maintenance strategy, reliability targets, and cross-functional decision-making.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Materials and OEM representatives to investigate and resolve reliability findings.
- Champion the adoption of modern analytical platforms and innovative approaches to continuously improve program sophistication.
- Maintain all program documentation in accordance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and applicable airworthiness directives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation, Engineering, Data Analytics, or STEM related fields; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Organized with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities regularly.
- Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
Prioritized Qualifications
- Working knowledge of FAA Advisory Circular AC 120-17B and its application to Reliability program management.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, statistical functions, Power Query), Power BI.
- Strong quantitative and analytical aptitude; experience applying statistical methods (Weibull analysis, confidence intervals, regression, correlation) to maintenance and reliability data.
- Demonstrated expertise in aviation reliability analysis, including experience with CASS programs, component reliability trending, and maintenance program surveillance.
- Ability to interpret aircraft system data and maintenance records and synthesize findings into clear, defensible written products for regulatory and executive audiences.
- Apply statistical methods including Weibull analysis, confidence interval estimation, and findings ratio assessment - to support maintenance program changes and interval escalation proposals in alignment with AC 120-17B guidance.
