What You Will Do
- Maintain machinery and equipment by visually inspecting and testing, troubleshooting production lines, dismantling defective machines and installing new or repaired parts.
- Clean and lubricate bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and fabrication.
- Assist with repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Analyze work processes and equipment to recommend improvements.
Maintain Safety
- Schedule and complete preventative maintenance on equipment and buildings.
- Perform lock-out/tag-out procedures as an authorized associate for non-routine or major repairs.
- Maintain a safe work environment through adherence to safety guidelines and proper protective equipment usage.
Support Team Efforts
- Collaborate with teams to meet goals and complete additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.
Experience and Skills
- Exposure to maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial equipment in trades such as electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or welding.
- Experience using various tools, including basic hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow processes & procedures, and effective communication skills.
- Excellent communication skills with management and co-workers.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of walking, climbing, and bending for periods of time.
- Comfortable working in hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions.
Additional Details
- Willingness to learn and expand knowledge base and experience.
- Flexible schedule; Ability to travel occasionally.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Five years of maintenance or related experience.
- Expertise in lift trucks maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, and welding.
- Knowledge of electronics, electrical power, and programmable logic control (PLC).
- Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings (blueprints, schematics, CAD, technical drawings).
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing flat-rolled steel equipment (i.e. slitter, cut-to-length line), and general machinery.
- Experience in MS Office products and Windows-based computer applications.
