Reliability & Maintenance Technician, 3rd Shift

Shift hours: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

About the role

The primary role of a Reliability and Maintenance Technician Level 2 is to apply advanced skills and knowledge, adhere to safety protocols, and ensure regulatory compliance to maintain manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities, and documentation. This position assists in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimization of automated manufacturing systems, focusing on robotics, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, system reliability, minimal downtime, and continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all necessary safety protocols and safety hazard information connected with work being performed are followed.
• Develop and maintain effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for automated equipment and systems.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in maintenance activities.
• Keep all preventative maintenance documentation up to date within the Quality System.
• Keep management appraised of escalating abnormal or critical situations.
• Utilize complex blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot and analyze problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance duties as they are developed.

Requirements

• Excellent technical and operational knowledge of automated equipment and systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex automated systems controlled by computers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and microprocessors in a high-volume work environment.
• Highly proficient in pneumatics and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts, illustrated parts breakdown (IPB) diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams and drawings.
• Strong aptitude for repair and maintenance activities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to operate independently, multi-task, and prioritize quickly.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley Controls systems preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical vocational training preferred.
• BS Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related position required, preferably in a manufacturing facility.
• Preferred experience in the medical manufacturing industry.
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current hourly pay range for this position is $28.21 - $42.31 USD with a $2.00/hour shift differential. Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
