Maintenance Technician, 3rd shift

About the role

The Maintenance Technician 1M performs advanced scheduled, un-scheduled and emergency tasks on all electro-mechanical equipment in designated areas to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Trains and leads teams in the diagnosis and resolution of equipment issues.
• Prevents equipment downtime through observation, communication with production staff and maintenance leadership.
• Assists engineers in diagnosing problems and suggesting corrective action.
• Contributes to team decision-making.
• Supports project work and other special requests.
• Improves processes and reduces waste through continuous improvement methods.
• Communicates and documents all work performed in Limble CMMS.
• Provides prompt fixes to equipment issues.
• Works safely and efficiently, adhering to OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Supports other team members in meeting department and site goals.
• Performs general housekeeping tasks and waste removal.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certifications in a technical/manufacturing field a definite plus.
• 5+ Years’ experience in a heavy mechanical / electrical manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong background involving AC/DC motors, pumps, drives, inverters, gearboxes, PLC and HMIs.
• Knowledge of TPM / Lean or other continuous improvement processes.
• Computer literacy with ability to learn new computer software programs.
• Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) trained or willing to become trained.
• Good interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication.
• Proficient reading technical documents, drawings, and schematics.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a highly participatory work system.
• Able to work independently and in a team setting in a safe and timely manner.
• Motivated towards productivity improvements, safety and quality awareness.

Qualifications
