Reliability Maintenance Planner

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Planning, scheduling, and coordinating proactive maintenance activities of equipment.
  • Providing technical assistance and maintenance expertise to the assigned plant value streams.
  • Maximize the reliability of the equipment using a formal, systematic/analytical approach to planning and scheduling maintenance, and design improvements.
  • Participate and facilitate maintenance scheduled downtime, outages, and weekly planning meetings.
  • Support assigned value stream area projects in maintenance activities that will improve the reliability of the equipment.
  • Build detailed job plans, manage work orders and backlog for planned work, and ensure proper data management of the plants Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Work within the company's ERP and CMMS to monitor and manage performance.
  • Participate, organize, and conduct training programs for the maintenance personnel regarding new operating equipment, software, methodologies, and procedures when assigned.
  • Stay abreast of current technology and recommend changes to effect continual improvement of production processes.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance and visual management standards.
  • Avoidance of safety violations and adherence to safety rules and housekeeping procedures.
  • Assist with specification of obsolete parts replacements and procurement for items being planned and scheduled.
  • Manage other special projects as assigned.

What You'll Need to Have

  • A working knowledge of heavy manufacturing, with at least 5 years hands-on-experience in lesser positions.
  • A post-secondary education in administration, engineering, or a technical college diploma in electrical or mechanical discipline is recommended.
  • Maintenance-based experience in mechanical and electrical equipment used in aluminum extrusion and associated processes and facilities and demonstrated expertise in asset reliability technology and systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fast learner, self-starter, and capable of working individually or in a team situation.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a variety of personalities and interests, manage the interests of all parties, and perform and prioritize a variety of tasks with minimum supervision.
  • High availability due to the nature of manufacturing operations, and the ability to work on regularly scheduled shutdowns.
  • Availability to travel as needed.
