Maintenance Planner
About the role
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Planner at our North Antelope Rochelle Mine in Gillette, WY. Reporting to the Manager – Planning and Reliability, the purpose of this role is to ensure there is a clear schedule of major equipment maintenance and cost accruals. The planner should also review notifications, create maintenance orders and plan labor and material required to execute the order. Optimize expenditures and technician productivity through best practice planning methods that support best practice scheduling and ensure safe, reliable plant and equipment operation. The Planner works jointly with procurement to obtain an optimized total cost of materials and services, within specification requirements that supports safe work practices and plant safety and operational objectives.
Duties
- Lead the Peabody Way Maintenance Work Management Standard and Best Practices
- Monitor work order completion rate and address non-compliances
- Ensure correct SAP coding is used for different WO types as designed and trained in
- Ensure SAP revisions are used for effective planning and management of PPMO, PCOR & PEMG work orders to ensure they are being prioritized and managed effectively
- Actively manage and maintain defects in accordance the Defect Management Polices & Procedures
- Ensure that component remove & install functionally in SAP is used and maintained
- Ensure that SAP equipment Master Data in current and updated as required
- Communication and consultation across departments as required. E.g. planning requirements with operational departments, maintenance delays, incident outcomes etc.
- Ensure weekly Maintenance Plans are completed and lead the presentation of these to Maintenance & Production teams for discussion and approval
- Ensure compliance with Peabody purchasing polices and expenditure authority
- Ensure Warranty Management is actively use as designed through SAP
- Demonstrate proactive safe leadership to all employees and contractors by utilizing safety tools and Peabody policies & procedures
- Demonstrate strong teamwork commitments by fostering the culture of good communication using appropriate mediums to communicate all relevant issues to team members
About you
- Relevant Maintenance qualifications (Electrical or Mechanical)
- Formal Training with SAP and/or maintenance Planning computerized Systems – 98% pass rate on the SAP eLearning Training in Success factors
- ICAM and/or RCA certificate of competence
- Minimum 4 years Maintenance Experience (desirable)
- Proficient at planning and supervising people
- Demonstrate the ability to glean actions from equipment reliability trending
- Knowledge of conducting safety inspections and completing JSEA’s, Risk assessments & Permits
- Demonstrate the ability to identify continuous Improvement opportunities
- Proficient in the component forecasting and budgeting
- Proficient with Computer programs (Excel, Word, MS Project, email)
Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
- Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
- Must be able to use a computer
- Sometimes requires occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively
