About the Role
Leads a team of Reliability Engineers and Technicians to drive continuous improvement of product quality and reliability through detailed investigation and analysis of failure events and DIFA (Disassembly, Investigation and Failure Analysis) data, helping to meet or exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates and maintains leadership responsibility over Dismantle Inspection Failure Analysis (DIFA) process including client scheduling and coordination, DIFA report quality, and the actions and outputs of the Reliability team.
- Mentors, coaches, and trains Reliability Engineers and Technicians to build technical expertise and ensure knowledge transfer within the team.
- Conducts DIFA of ESP and related equipment to determine root cause, assigns liability for failure, and prepares professional reporting of findings.
- Provides technical expertise and support to Service Center, Field operations, and Sales.
- Applies metallurgy and chemical analysis knowledge to failure analysis of ESP equipment.
- Acquires, understands, and interprets data from remote access data communications monitoring and surface equipment history files to facilitate failure analysis and promote reliability.
- Evaluates applications and well history data to promote efficient product application and increase run life.
- Evaluates and revises technical procedures and recommends revisions to Engineering Standards to improve quality and reliability.
- Organizes data and prepares technical and management systems reports and presentations as needed.
- Monitors equipment operational performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
- Identifies and contributes to development of engineering solutions for repetitive failures.
- Develops or contributes to development of acceptance tests and/or inspection criteria.
- Actively participates in and promotes the EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) process and determines appropriate remedial actions when necessary.
- Monitors and participates in the ECN (Engineering Change Notice) process.
- Solves and communicates Quality-related problems within the service center.
- Exhibits superior communication skills to interact with clients, sales professionals, engineers, service center personnel, and management.
- Personally observes safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and materials.
- Actively promotes safety processes and reports any safety issues to proper channels for action.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field required.
- 7+ years of Reliability Engineering or Quality Assurance/Control experience, or 10+ years of related ESP Engineering experience.
- All company standard required HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) training and certifications.
- Extensive knowledge of ESP component engineering and manufacturing techniques.
- Experience in ESP applications, equipment assembly/disassembly, troubleshooting, and failure analysis preferred.
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Office and/or company-specific databases.
- Knowledgeable with the Gagemaker System and designated support software.
- Ability to work well with stringent deadlines and possess good organizational skills.
- Familiarity with ISO: 9000 requirements, including quality practices and procedures.
- Ability to search and locate drawings, BOMs, MPIs, and other product-related documents required to support Service Center Operations.
- Comfortable reading complex blueprints and customer-related drawings.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Continuously required to move about the facility.
- Physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
- Work is mostly in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Occasional travel and on-call availability required.
- Routine standing for long periods of time.
- Exposure to shop and field elements such as noise, dust, odors, and temperature variations.
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection, hard hat, and safety shoes while in the shop environment or on the job site.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
Schedule
As per US labor law and Levare US work schedule. Be on call and work holidays and weekends when needed.
