Key Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with Maintenance, Production Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Maintenance Planning teams to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and equipment downtime.
- Perform and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures and reliability issues.
- Become a subject matter expert in SAP-PM, including maintenance data entry, preventive maintenance planning, and scheduling.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance documentation, equipment records, reporting, and compliance documentation.
- Analyze preventive maintenance and equipment reliability data and provide reports to maintenance leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance programs.
- Support modifications to maintenance processes and procedures to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Train maintenance personnel and other users on SAP-PM processes, data requirements, and day-to-day maintenance activities.
- Ensure maintenance documentation supports applicable governmental, regulatory, and local requirements.
- Work with maintenance teams to improve equipment availability, reduce unplanned downtime, and increase overall maintenance effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
- 3-4+ years of relevant engineering, maintenance, or reliability experience.
- Previous experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician, Skilled Trades professional, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Engineer, or similar hands-on maintenance position within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Experience performing or supporting Root Cause Analysis and equipment failure analysis.
- Experience working with SAP-PM or a comparable CMMS system strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of maintenance planning, preventive maintenance scheduling, work orders, equipment history, and maintenance data management.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to work effectively with maintenance, engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive or Tier-1/Tier-2 automotive manufacturing experience.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP-PM).
- Experience with equipment reliability metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, downtime, and OEE.
- Experience with preventive maintenance optimization, reliability-centered maintenance, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working in a highly automated, high-volume manufacturing environment.
