About the role
Responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safety, training and performance of all assigned employees, including contractors
- Work closely with equipment suppliers, plant staff to ensure successful operation of the plant
- Maintain monitoring reliability based systems including preventative maintenance systems, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring
- Create preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for new equipment
- Manage preventive/predictive maintenance programs (Inspection, Vibration, Oil Analysis, NDT, thermography, etc.) to ensure optimum equipment availability
- Analyze and eliminate repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA and similar techniques
- Support and guide sustainable improvements in MTBF of major equipment
- Facilitate continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and reliability
- Provide ongoing reports as needed on the CBM program status
- Facilitate the process of gathering input and task completion through others
- Research solutions to technical problems
- Coordinate SAP system operations in the area of preventative maintenance routine (PMR) optimization and development with maintenance planners
- Provide technical support, training and development for maintenance functions with specific focus on entrenching reliability concepts within the maintenance group
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas
- Support and guide continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and reliability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in heavy manufacturing environment
- Preferred experience in FFT analysis of vibration spectra on a range of heavy industrial plant
- Preferred experience in practical application of FMEA, NDT inspection techniques
- Working knowledge of instrumentation, process controls, motors, starts, VFD’s
