About the role
Responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs.
Position Location: Amrize Alpena Cement Plant, 1435 Ford Avenue, Alpena, Michigan 49707
Relocation: Position is eligible for relocation assistance for candidates outside the Alpena, MI area.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop Reliability Technicians.
- Work closely with equipment suppliers and plant staff to ensure successful operation of the plant.
- Monitor reliability-based systems including preventative maintenance systems, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring.
- Participate in the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for new equipment.
- Manage preventive/predictive maintenance programs (Inspection, Vibration, Oil Analysis, NDT, thermography, etc.) to ensure optimum equipment availability.
- Analyze and eliminate repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA, and similar techniques.
- Support and guide sustainable improvements in MTBF of major equipment.
- Facilitate continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and reliability.
- Provide ongoing reports as needed on the CBM program status.
- Gather input and facilitate task completion through others.
- Research solutions to technical problems.
- Coordinate SAP system operations in the area of preventative maintenance routine (PMR) optimization and development with maintenance planners.
- Provide technical support, training, and development for maintenance functions with a specific focus on entrenching reliability concepts within the maintenance group.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- 3-5 years of work experience in a heavy manufacturing environment (heavily preferred).
- CBM Certifications (preferred).
- Proficiency in SAP, Excel, Word, Project, etc.
- Experience in FFT analysis of vibration spectra on a range of heavy industrial plant equipment.
- Experience in practical application of FMEA and NDT inspection techniques (preferred).
- Working knowledge of instrumentation, process controls, motors, starters, and VFD’s (preferred).
- Must be eligible to work in the USA.
- Must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face.
