About the role
The Reliability Design Internship at Astranis offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of satellite systems. This internship is designed for students currently enrolled at a four-year university who are passionate about reliability analysis, power electronics, and hardware development.
Responsibilities
- Perform reliability analyses on satellite systems
- Work with the reliability design team to analyze flight hardware
- Support DFMEA (Design For Manufacturability and Electromechanical Analysis) efforts
- Write code to help evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in electrical or computer engineering (or equivalent technical degree)
- Interest in learning about, designing, and working with power electronics systems
- A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
- Demonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test hardware from scratch
Bonus
- Experience with agentic AI systems
- Experience with SPICE-based simulators (LTSpice, PSPICE, ADS, etc)
- Familiarity with standard EE lab bench (power supply, oscilloscope, multimeter, etc)
- Experience with Python
Pay
The base pay for this position is $29.00 per hour.
Schedule
The internship lasts for twelve weeks.
