Relationship Manager, Private Equity

The Global Private Equity & VC Practice at Salesforce is transforming the way private equity firms build value for investors and their portfolio companies. We provide strategic relationship capabilities to accelerate growth and reduce risk, blending analysis, vision, and product-oriented thought leadership.
Responsibilities
- Support our senior team in maintaining relationships with our strategic Private Equity Partners
- Understand the Salesforce product suite and conceptualize optimal solutions for Private Equity portfolio companies
- Contribute to Private Equity due diligence processes and help develop growth strategies for carve-outs and new acquisitions
- Work with portfolio companies to rethink business and operating model opportunities and align Salesforce capabilities
- Collaborate with alliances and sales teams to expand advisory partners for Private Equity Partners
- Execute the go-to-market plan for each Private Equity partner with clear success metrics
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with account teams and Private Equity Practice
- Support sales account managers in driving value creation and growing the pipeline
- Contribute to internal and external portfolio performance reviews
- Own strategic projects that contribute to the overall growth and success of the Private Equity Practice
- Coach and guide Analysts, Associates, and Senior Associates as they begin their careers at Salesforce
Requirements
5-7+ years of experience in private equity/credit, venture capital, premier consulting, investment bank, M&A, strategy, enterprise software, or digital transformation
Experience influencing decisions in corporate transactions with public and private investment teams
Exposure to working internationally, both with international clients and on international teams
Exceptional communication, strategic, analytical, influencing, and consulting skills, as well as a track record of thriving in complex, multi-disciplinary teams
A high tolerance for ambiguity; ability to focus and deliver in a constantly evolving environment, take charge and make things happen
An independent, self-starter with strong work ethic and personal drive and character qualities that match with our company’s core values and inspire others to follow and act
A superior ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
A willingness to travel on as-needed basis >30% of the time
Qualifications
Experience in M&A, corporate strategy or digital transformation
Experience in a strategic business development role, preferably in the Private Equity, Venture Capital or M&A industry

Base salary range: $131,460 - $175,770 annually
