Relationship Manager III - Healthcare Lending
About the Role
The Relationship Manager III for Healthcare Lending is a senior-level role focused on developing commercial loan requests from centers of influence, existing customers, and other sources. This position involves underwriting specific credit requests, including Healthcare and Not-for-Profit Lending, preparing and presenting loan offerings, and managing the credit approval process through closing. The role also includes monitoring and maintaining client relationships to ensure timely loan administration and identifying opportunities for additional business.
Responsibilities
- Develop business opportunities through customer, professional, and organizational contacts.
- Refer and/or cross-sell bank products and services.
- Understand, structure, and present loan requests to optimize return for the bank.
- Review loan documentation for correctness, attend loan closings, and follow up on missing or exception items.
- Monitor delinquencies, overdrafts, and financial indicators of potential loan repayment problems.
- Organize and prioritize workflow to address highest priorities in a timely manner.
- Attend bank meetings as needed.
- Actively participate in community and business organizations.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent job training/experience.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience commensurate with job function.
- Industry expertise in Healthcare and familiarity with banking for acute care medical centers, hospitals, long-term care facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, medical groups (small to large), specialty medical practices, hospice providers, and Federally Qualified Health Centers.
- Ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group settings.
- Experience in Healthcare and Not-for-Profit lending to quickly analyze and underwrite specific credit requests.
- Familiarity with the market territory, including all of New Jersey and nearby parts of neighboring states.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle abstract and concrete variables.
- Intermediate skills in Contact Management, PowerPoint, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing software.
- Demonstrated success in business development through external referral sources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge of Baker Hill software is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Work is mainly performed in a normal office environment with moderate noise levels.
- May involve travel to customer and property locations.
- Prolonged sitting.
- Lifting from 5 to 10 lbs. (e.g., printer paper, storage boxes).
- Occasional bending or overhead lifting (e.g., storing files or boxes).
- The hazards are typical of a normal office setting.
Pay
$146,000 - $208,500 annually. The base pay offered may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other business needs. This role is incentive-eligible based on company, business, and individual goal achievement and performance.
