About the role

As a Relationship Manager III within PNC's Private Bank Connect organization, you will be based in Cleveland, OH or any other location within the PNC Private Bank footprint. This role is focused on business development, specifically identifying investment and banking opportunities within an established book of business. You will conduct client outreach via phone calls to meet calling goals, targeting warm leads who are already part of the team’s book of business. While this role involves significant client communication, it is not client-facing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client management activities with existing and prospective clients, developing and executing a relationship management plan to acquire and retain clients while ensuring an exceptional client experience.
  • Manage and grow a book of business through client expansion and new client acquisition.
  • Develop and execute strategies for proactively sourcing new relationships for the bank.
  • Own communication and contact with existing clients to capture expansion opportunities.
  • Expand external network for business development and coordinate with the team to determine action plans through thorough discovery of client needs.
  • Consistently review needs assessments with clients to identify changes and ensure alignment with client goals.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all business segment capabilities and offerings to deliver proactive and responsive service.
  • Manage risk through appropriate client selection and ensure service delivery aligns with fees charged.
  • Escalate client concerns to risk partners for quick resolution and maintain working knowledge of partner offerings to make business-appropriate introductions.
  • Ensure accountability for follow-up and client communication after initial introductions to partners.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and complete sales/client relationship management administration tasks as determined by the business.
  • Execute team processes such as pre-call planning, post-call debriefs, and relationship reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience (including military service).
  • 5+ years of industry-relevant experience, typically required for roles at this level.
  • Strong investment knowledge and experience; prior licensure (e.g., Series 7 or 63) is a plus but not required.
  • Prior experience with investment management, wealth management, or a background in sales or investments is highly desirable.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in business decisions.
  • Ability to assess and manage risks associated with business objectives while adhering to PNC’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Pay

Base Salary: $112,000.00 – $249,600.00. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive-eligible, with payment based on company, business, and/or individual performance.
