Key Responsibilities
- Assist in building and maintaining strong, established relationships with senior management of key Telecom & Technology clients.
- Support in developing strategic dialogues with clients, generating pitch ideas, and preparing client presentations and materials.
- Actively participate in client meetings and discussions, contributing sector expertise and insights.
- Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers and Client Captains to ensure holistic client coverage and seamless delivery of "the house" across all products.
- Contribute to the origination of Investment Banking and Global Markets products by identifying client needs and coordinating with relevant product teams.
- Work closely with M&A bankers, including senior sector-focused M&A bankers at Solomon Partners, to support M&A advisory pitches and execution.
- Play a key role in the execution of financing transactions, including debt and equity capital markets, infrastructure and energy finance, global trade, and leveraged finance.
- Support the origination and structuring of complex transactions, including cross-border deals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- At least 5 years of corporate finance experience, with a strong focus on deal origination and execution in the Telecom and Technology sector at well-established financial organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage client relationships, with growing C-level engagement.
- Proven track record of contributing to the execution of M&A and financing transactions within the Americas region.
- Solid understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, credit analysis, documentation, and due diligence processes.
- Familiarity with cross-border transaction structures and execution in complex situations.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance principles and market dynamics within the Telecom and Technology sectors, as well as related products (e.g., capital markets, hedging).
- Experience working in cross-border M&A, Investment Banking, and/or leverage/project finance, ideally within a global bank.
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to apply them to complex financial situations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced), Word, and PowerPoint.
- Series 79 and 63 licenses required.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, meeting stringent deadlines and high-quality standards under pressure.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
- Leadership potential and a willingness to mentor junior colleagues.
