About the role

The position is available in Manulife John Hancock’s Mid/Large corporate segment. While a regional approach is preferred, the ideal candidate should be flexible to travel outside their region.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve all annual metrics – retention, revenue, customer engagement
  • Learn Manulife John Hancock Retirement products, features and services and apply as appropriate with a strong focus on investment products
  • Effectively manage internal and external customer relationships, leverage available resources
  • Exhibit consultative selling and negotiation skills, optimize product features, plan design and employee retirement readiness
  • Demonstrate executive presence and subject matter expertise to instill confidence and influence outcomes that align Customer and Manulife John Hancock objectives
  • Follow all company and department level processes and procedures, including meeting materials preparation and presentation format, travel and expense, CRM documentation and data integrity
  • Support new sales and market development initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
  • 7-10 years of Financial Services industry experience
  • Demonstrate initiative, motivation and accountability
  • Expert consultative selling and negotiation skills
  • Ability to analyze complex relationships and complete goals
  • Strong business insight and presence
  • Ability to clearly communicate, build rapport and effectively partner with internal and external business partners
  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in a changing environment
  • Develop strategy, goals and display the capability to adjust, regardless of obstacles or circumstances
  • License Requirements: Successful completion of SIE, Hold FINRA Series 6 or 7, 63 or 66 State Insurance license

Qualifications

Preferred: Experience with non-qualified deferred compensation and defined benefit plans, experience with defined contribution plans, clients greater than $50M in AUM, up to $1B in AUM.

Strong investment industry and product knowledge, consultative selling and negotiation skills, ability to analyze complex relationships, clear communication, building rapport, effective partnership with internal and external business partners, flexibility and resilience in a changing environment, developing strategy, goals and adjusting to obstacles or circumstances.

Benefits

Flexible working arrangement, remote work possible, remote salary range is expected to be between $122,325.00 USD - $212,030.00 USD, participation in incentive programs and earning incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance, various retirement savings plans (including pension/401(k) savings plans and a global share ownership plan with employer matching contributions), financial education and counseling resources, generous paid time off program, various health, dental, mental health, vision, short- and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance coverage, adoption/surrogacy and wellness benefits, employee/family assistance plans, use of data and analytics technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), and automated processing tools to analyze and process information.

Pay

Salary range is expected to be between $122,325.00 USD - $212,030.00 USD, actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.

Schedule

Remote working arrangement, full-time position.
