Reimbursement Specialist
Position Overview
This is a remote position with no regular on-site work required and must be performed from an approved U.S.-based work location. Initial training and/or onboarding will require travel of up to one (1) week, with advance notice.
Responsibilities
- Investigate patients' insurance benefits and obtain prior authorization information for therapies or products as requested by patients or their family members.
- Identify network providers, clarify co-pays, pursue product coverage in accordance with payer authorization requirements, and maintain payer profiles by accurately recording data in the system.
- Communicate benefit investigation outcomes to internal contacts such as case managers.
- Learn and apply processes for multiple products, ensuring compliant and effective reimbursement service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Reimbursement experience preferred.
- Ability to meet the pay range of $21 to $27 per hour; actual rate determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors.
