Rehabilitation Technician - PRN - Westmont

Responsibilities

  • Patient care, support, and guidance
  • Execute plans of care under guidance of PT/OT providers
  • Proper set up and adjustment of exercise equipment
  • Aid in set up and delivery of modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs, etc.)
  • Utilize appropriate educational techniques including demonstration and cueing to ensure patient understanding of exercises
  • Maintain patient safety and monitor response to exercise intensity
  • Discuss patient performance with PT/OT provider
  • Clinic flow
  • Monitor patient arrivals to department
  • Start patients on time for scheduled appointments/keep patients apprised of any clinician delays
  • Maintain cleanliness of clinic, including waiting areas, exam rooms, and all equipment
  • Order all supplies to keep clinic stocked, under direction from Manager
  • Front end tasks
  • Perform necessary front-end tasks including but not limited to check-in, co-pay/financial responsibility collection, answering phones, and scheduling future appointments
  • Communicate via chat with PT/OT and Chiropractic referral team regarding patient insurance benefits
  • Schedule management for clinicians (i.e., patient confirmation calls, rescheduling patients as needed)
  • Qualifications

    • CPR certification required (certification offered through Duly Health and Care)
    • High School Diploma
    • Knowledge of common medical terminology and abbreviations
    • Understand principles, as well as contraindications/precautions in the use of therapy modalities
    • Identify proper patient set-up on each piece of equipment with the ability to adjust
    • Identify planes of movement and demonstrate proper exercise positioning
    • Team-oriented
    • Attention to detail and follow-through
    • Problem solving, lateral thinking and reasoning skills

        • Base pay range: $15.10-18.00
        • Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives
