About the role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team at Rehabilitation Hospital of Montana. Your role will be crucial in supporting our rehabilitation programs, which provide specialized care to patients recovering from various conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the rehabilitation team by carrying out patient care activities as directed by an OTR/RPT, including safe patient transport, treatment preparation, and observation of patient response.
  • Communicates effectively with therapists and team members, following written and verbal instructions, and maintaining a safe, organized environment to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Safely transports patients to and from therapy and other activities.
  • Communicates clearly (verbally and in writing) with members of the rehabilitation team.
  • Observes and recognizes patient reactions to treatment; follows instructions accurately.
  • Lifts and carries equipment, supplies, and materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis; uses proper body mechanics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: CPR Certification.

Qualifications

As an Occupational Therapist, you should have:

  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using rehabilitation equipment and technology.
  • Experience working with patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
