Rehabilitation Technician, PRN

About the role

Virginia Mason Franciscan Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, is dedicated to prioritizing patient well-being to ensure exceptional care. As a Rehabilitation Technician PRN, you will support the rehabilitation team by performing various patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with therapy scheduling tasks.
• Follow patient care tasks as determined by the OTR/RPT to help patients achieve therapy goals.
• Safely transport patients to and from therapy and other activities.
• Communicate clearly (verbally and in writing) with members of the rehabilitation team.
• Observe and recognize patient reactions to treatment; follow instructions accurately.
• Lift and carry equipment, supplies, and materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis; use proper body mechanics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6-12 months of relevant experience in a rehabilitation setting strongly recommended; willing to participate in on-the-job training after orientation.
• CPR certification (as required).

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to follow directions.
• Patient transport and safe lifting techniques (up to 50 lbs).

Hourly range: $23.00-$24.00 per hour.
