Rehabilitation Technician, CNA

About the Role

A Weekend Rehab Technician (CNA Certified) supports therapists and nursing staff in a skilled nursing facility to promote optimal resident recovery and care.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists (PT, OT, SLP) by preparing, maintaining, and cleaning treatment areas and equipment.
• Safely transport residents to and from therapy sessions and the rehab gym.
• Support therapy schedules by coordinating resident movement and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Communicate effectively with therapy and nursing teams about resident needs and schedules.
• Maintain and restock therapy supplies, monitor equipment for safety, and support documentation processes.
• Assist nursing staff with resident care as needed, consistent with CNA duties.
• Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• Current CNA certification in good standing in NYS.
• Prior rehab tech experience is a plus.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to quality care.
• Genuine interest in helping residents, patience, and a cheerful disposition.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Flexible and able to perform well under pressure.
