Rehabilitation Services Technician

Overview

IU Health is seeking dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in patient care. We are currently hiring for positions at West Hospital, offering flexible schedules without weekends or holidays.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA within 6 months of hire
• Successful completion of rehabilitation technician training program within 3 months of hire
• 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Rehab experience preferred
• Familiarity with patient lifting and handling procedures

Roles and Responsibilities

• Performs routine patient care tasks under the supervision of clinicians
• Aids in providing safe mobility and positioning of patients
• Maintains and cleans treatment areas and equipment
• Participates in operational aspects of the department and performance improvement activities
• Enforces infection control, participates in departmental training, and complies with regulatory requirements
• Orders, distributes, and maintains inventory of department-related supplies
• May perform scheduling, customer service, and some clerical duties
• Transports medications between the patient treatment room and the patient

Pay

Compensation details are competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The position is available on a Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday schedule with 8-hour workdays.
