Rehab Technician I: Southwood | 2nd shift, 40 hours| Kalamazoo, MI
About the Role
As a Rehabilitation Technician I, you'll support individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and spinal cord injuries (SCI) as they rebuild their strength, independence, and quality of life after hospitalization. Through hands-on assistance with daily living activities, hygiene care, community involvement, and therapeutic goals, you'll help clients achieve meaningful milestones while building trusted, supportive relationships.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living (ADLs), personal care, and medications
- Support community outings, transportation, and activities
- Build positive relationships and encourage independence
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
Requirements
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
- Strong communication and ability to build trust
- Adaptable, patient, and resilient
- Person-centered mindset with respect for individual differences
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to pass background checks and fingerprints
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Health care experience (preferred)
