Lead Rehab Technician: Southwood | 2nd shift, 40 hours | Kalamazoo, MI
About the Role
As a Lead Rehabilitation Technician, you'll empower individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and spinal cord injuries (SCI) to regain independence while providing leadership and support to a team of Rehabilitation Technicians. You'll balance hands-on client care with coaching, training, scheduling, and ensuring high-quality, person-centered services. Every day, you'll help clients reach meaningful milestones while fostering a collaborative team environment that promotes safety, growth, and exceptional care.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership, coaching, and oversight for Rehab Tech I, II, and III staff
- Participates in the on-call rotation
- Attends to administrative needs and coordinates with medical providers
- Assists with daily living (ADLs), personal care, and medications
- Supports community outings, transportation, and activities
- Builds positive relationships and encourages independence
- Helps maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
Requirements
- Two-year degree from an accredited college or university (equivalent leadership experience accepted with a High School Diploma or G.E.D.)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to pass background checks and fingerprints
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
