About the role

The Rehabilitation Technician assists in the following areas of personal care and development: Safety, Relationship Building, Activities and Daily Living, Health, and Community Integration.

Responsibilities

  • Safety: Monitors and ensures safety 24/7; this may be eyes-on, one-on-one, 15 or 30 minute checks, etc.
  • Crisis Prevention, Intervention, and Resolution: Supports in preventing, intervening, and resolving crises.
  • Relationship Building: Establishes collaborative relationships built on trust and empathy through consistent and meaningful communication.
  • Activities and Daily Living: Helps build effective skills for problem-solving, communication, and independence; assists clients in social and leisure activities; supports ADLs including transportation, cooking, dressing, bathing, grooming, and transfers.
  • Health: Monitors vitals for medical conditions or illnesses; promotes positive behavior; attends medical appointments and relays information; understands, reads, and implements care plans; documents accurately and timely.
  • Community Integration: Connects clients with community opportunities; supports employment, educational, and volunteer goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid
  • Commitment to scheduled shifts, assigned duties, and performance expectations
  • Basic computer skills
