Rehab Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Aid therapists with transporting patients, filing and copying paperwork, and relaying messages.
• Maintain tidiness and workflow in the therapy department.
• Report to the Rehab Director.

A. Direct Patient Contact

• Transport therapy patients to and from the therapy room.
• Assist therapists during treatments, with therapist's supervision.

B. Clerical Duties

• Complete clerical tasks including organizing, copying, and filing therapy paperwork.
• Record keeping and item tracking.
• Mail items to physicians as needed.

C. Therapy Room Maintenance

• Maintain the cleanliness of the treatment area.
• Report any issues with department equipment to ensure maintenance.
• Clean work area and equipment daily after treatment.

D. Inventory & Supplies

• Maintain appropriate supplies for the therapy room.
• Manage an inventory of rehab equipment and supplies.
• Order supplies as directed by the Rehab Director.

Minimum Experience, Education, and Licensure

• GED or High School Diploma.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of computers and computer documentation.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good communication and people skills.

Physical Demands

• Lifting from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead.
• Standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, crouching/squatting.
• Must be able to lift at least 100 lbs. using proper mechanics.

Work Environment

• Location: Facility; LTC Facility.
• Following universal precautions.
• Indoors; Outdoors if necessary.
• Climatic/environmental conditions: Various weather conditions.
