Rehab Tech / Rehab Aide / Administrative Assistant

Overview

A full-time Rehab Tech position is currently available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing facility located in Sanford, ME. Responsibilities

• Assists with specific treatment activities assigned by the treating therapist.
• Transports patients to and from rehabilitation dept. for scheduled treatment as requested and assist with transfers.
• Prepares patient for therapy as directed by supervising therapist.
• Helps in the modification of patient equipment (wheelchairs, splints) as necessary.
• Reports patient response to treatment and changes in medical status to supervising therapist immediately.
• Completes timely and accurate documentation of direct, indirect time, payroll, efficiency and clinical reporting.
• Adheres to confidentiality standards of HIPAA and all Infection Control, Universal Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
• Uses a professional and clear style of verbal and written communication.
• Clerical duties such as answering calls, photocopy, file, fax/scan/upload documents, supply orders.
• Maintains rehabilitation area and equipment in a neat, clean and safe manner.
• Attends in-services and facility meetings as required.
• Works cooperatively in group situations and demonstrates flexibility, team building, and promotes a positive work environment.
• Reports to work on time and adheres to schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Holds a High school diploma or Graduate Equivalency Degree.
• Demonstrates concise oral and written communication skills with rehab. staff, facility staff, patients, and families.
• Demonstrates regular attendance.

Rehab Team Leader / Occupational Therapy Assistant

A full-time REHAB TEAM LEADER / Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA / OTA) position is now available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing Rehab Department. Responsibilities

• Provides daily oversight of rehabilitation services.
• Ensures efficient and effective operations of the facility's rehabilitation department.
• Provides therapy services to patients.
• Offers clinical support, training, and oversight of specialty programs within his/her specific discipline.
• Plans and coordinates with other facility therapists in the implementation of programs and procedures to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient admissions, schedules, MDS assessment periods and data.
• Administers administrative supervision of therapists in the rehabilitation department.
• Be a licensed Occupational Therapist or license eligible in the state where employed.
• Has experience as a treating therapist in the Skilled Nursing Facility setting.

• Under the direction of a Rehab Director.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist or license eligible in the state where employed.
• Experience as a treating therapist in the Skilled Nursing Facility setting.
