Rehab Services Manager (Outpatient)
About the role
The Rehab Services Manager supervises patient care provided within the team to ensure it is of high caliber and meets efficiency expectations. This role routinely reviews treatment schedules and staffing to ensure adequate provisions for team members to provide service as needed, or makes necessary adjustments.
Conducts regular team meetings for active and current communication regarding incidents, family complaint resolution, schedules, clinical needs, resources, safety, and process functions that support service provision, workflow, documentation, and billing. Maintains the team treatment environment to desired standards.
Reviews requests for supplies and equipment needs, and if appropriate, submits them to the Director for approval. Assists team members in problem-solving at the most immediate patient level. Specifies personnel needs, selects, and retains appropriately qualified staff. Oversees daily staffing processes and utilization of resources.
Ensures performance management tools and processes are applied consistently. Monitors the team’s budget, reviews budgeted visits, and oversees expenses. Provides an initial screen for time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage within the team. Participates in division performance improvement activities. Provides patient care as specified in the rehabilitation therapist position description.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech & Language Pathologist (must be maintained for continued employment).
- Minimum of three (3) years of direct patient care experience, preferably in a similar practice setting.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Experience planning and implementing care delivery strategies and services, project management, and therapy delivery systems.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with managed care plans and coverage.
- Advanced Degree in Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy from an accredited program.

Physical Requirements
- Lifting 50-100 lbs.
- Frequent bending, walking (distance), climbing (steps, ladder, other), reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive), and repetitive motion.
- Mental/Sensory: Strong recall, reasoning, problem-solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, reading, and logical thinking.
- Emotional: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, steady pace, and frequent, intense customer interactions.
