About the role

Join the largest long-term care facility in South Dakota, offering multiple services including general long-term care, short-stay rehab, and a memory care unit. This full-time, night-shift Registered Nurse (RN) position works 12-hour weekend shifts (6:00 pm – 6:30 am) Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights with extra premiums for the position. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, adhering to age and population-specific standards.
• Provide care in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Coordinate care, perform resident assessments, provide education, and implement various nursing interventions.
• Serve as charge nurse, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel based on job descriptions, skills, and resident care needs.
• Ensure safe and reliable administration of care by providing support to delegates and resolving care concerns.
• Function within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and state licensure regulations.

Requirements

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA); Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practicing, or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Pay

Salary range: $34.00 – $48.00 per hour. $10,000 sign-on bonus available.

Schedule

Full-time, night shift: 12-hour weekend shifts (6:00 pm – 6:30 am) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Weekly hours: 36.
