About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge, using appropriate age and population-specific standards. Cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Responsible for care coordination, resident assessment, resident education, and various other nursing interventions. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their job descriptions, skills, resident care needs, and competence levels. Provides support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of care. Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules. Adheres to the Professional Nursing Practice, recognizing the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized resident care.

  • Coordinate care, perform resident assessments, and provide education.
  • Serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to assistive personnel.
  • Ensure safe and reliable administration of care and resolution of concerns.
  • Adhere to the Nurse Practice Act, Scope and Standards of Practice, and Code of Ethics for Nurses.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
  • Current unencumbered RN license in the state of practice or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Schedule

  • Full-time night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM.
  • 12-hour shifts.
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
  • Weekly hours: 36.00.

Pay

  • Salary range: $34.00 – $48.00 per hour.
  • $10,000 sign-on bonus available.
  • Shift differential for nights and weekends.
  • Holiday pay.
