Rehab Aid

About the Role

Responsible for providing support services to assist therapists in direct patient care in acute care, sub-acute, and/or outpatient settings. Tasks include transporting and/or escorting patients in clinic areas, maintaining equipment and treatment areas, and ordering supplies. Requires basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent GED education.
• Must demonstrate competence to provide support rehabilitation services through education, training, and experience.

Requirements

• Good interpersonal skills, especially courtesy and cooperation, when interacting with staff, patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ability to handle confidential data discretely and adhere to HIPAA compliance regulations.
• Maintain unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and clinical certifications as required by the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or other department requirements.
