Physical Therapy Aid Front and Back Office
About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Physical Therapy Aide – Front and Back Office to join our fast-paced, multi-disciplinary clinic. This role supports both the clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care and an outstanding patient experience. You’ll be responsible for assisting providers, preparing treatment rooms, managing front desk tasks, and helping maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with checking in and rooming patients, taking vitals, and collecting medical histories
- Prepare treatment areas and assist with therapies such as heat, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic ultrasound
- Ensure cleanliness and safety by sanitizing all equipment and surfaces between each patient
- Support providers during therapy sessions and assist with documentation, charting, and paperwork
- Manage front desk duties including check-in/check-out, reminder calls, scanning, faxing, and coordination of appointments
- Carry out regular walkthroughs of the office to ensure cleanliness and organization
Requirements
- Prior experience in a healthcare, physical therapy, or chiropractic office (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Training in basic vital signs and therapy assistance (preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification (preferred or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to stand and move throughout the clinic for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and assisting patients as needed
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds (equipment or patient support)
- Manual dexterity for performing therapy setups and using equipment
- Must be able to assist with room turnover and frequent cleaning
Qualifications
- Patient Support & Customer Service – Ability to interact with patients in a professional, empathetic, and welcoming manner
- Multi-Tasking & Time Management – Handle clinical and administrative tasks efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Technical Proficiency – Familiarity with EMR systems, printers/scanners, and multi-line phone systems
- Clinical Assistance – Comfort with therapy set-up and basic patient care procedures
- Cleanliness & Safety – Committed to maintaining a sanitary, safe, and welcoming clinical space
- Team Collaboration – Works well with a diverse team of providers and support staff
- Communication – Strong verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues
- Professionalism – Reliable, punctual, and presents a positive, solutions-oriented attitude

$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
