About the role
Regularized substitute teachers within the Department of Special Education at Nassau BOCES. Successful candidates will work with students who have learning, behavior, and social/emotional needs.
Responsibilities
- Differentiated instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Data-informed instruction to track and support student progress
- Implementation of Next Generation Learning Standards
Requirements
New York State Certified Special Education Teachers, preferably holding two or more certifications in the following areas:
- Students with Disabilities (Birth–2)
- Students with Disabilities (Grades 1–6)
- Students with Disabilities (Grades 5–9)
- Students with Disabilities (Grades 7–12)
