Substitute Teacher

Job Summary

As a Substitute Teacher, you will step into the classroom and provide instruction, maintain the learning environment, and ensure continuity in educational activities in the absence of the regular teacher. You will be expected to maintain an effective learning atmosphere, follow lesson plans, and foster a positive and productive classroom culture.

Responsibilities

• Dependable and punctual attendance
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and students
• Continuously improve professional skills
• Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and other staff
• Adapt to different teaching environments and implement lesson plans as directed
• Maintain classroom continuity and order
• Show flexibility and creativity in managing classroom activities
• Document all assigned duties and classroom maintenance tasks

Qualifications

• Certification from Nebraska Department of Education (Local Certifications issued by NDE are accepted)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse student populations
• Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and implement lesson plans as directed
• Flexibility and adaptability to a variety of school environments and teaching needs
• Ability to manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive and respectful learning environment
