Job Summary
The Registration Team Lead facilitates patient care at point-of-entry for all clinical locations while serving as the day-to-day leader of the registration team. This position combines hands-on front desk responsibilities with leadership duties to ensure exceptional patient service, efficient operations, and a high-performing registration team.
Registration and Patient Services
- Welcomes patients and visitors upon entry into the clinic.
- Affords assistance with patient checkin and checkout.
- Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Collects copays, deductibles, and other patient payments.
- Enters patient demographics into EMR and practice management systems.
- Schedules follow-up appointments.
- Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Resolves patient concerns and escalates issues when appropriate.
Team Lead Responsibilities
- Creates and manages front desk staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage across clinic locations.
- Serves as the day-to-day resource and point of contact for registration team members.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for front desk operational questions and issues.
- Affords assistance with onboarding and training of new registration employees.
- Maintains workflow and reallocates resources as needed to maintain efficient patient flow.
- Collaborates with management to address staffing needs and performance concerns.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and helps implement solutions to improve efficiency and patient experience.
- Affords assistance with development and maintenance of registration policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Promotes a positive, team-oriented work environment and models excellent customer service.
- Maintains confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards.
Required Skills/Abilities

- Proficiency with EMR/practice management systems and standard office software.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, providers, clinical staff, and administration.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of medical office or healthcare registration experience is required.
- Previous experience serving in a leadership role is required.
- Experience with insurance verification, patient registration, and medical scheduling is required.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Pay
This is an in-person position located in Thibodaux, LA.
Schedule
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday working 8 hours shifts.
