About the Role

Performs patient registration duties by interviewing patients or their representatives, accurately entering information into forms and systems, collecting co-payments, and obtaining signatures. May escort patients and maintains scheduling for department or procedures. Coordinates services with healthcare providers, verifies room and equipment availability, and fosters effective communication to build patient and staff trust.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient information and ensure accurate data entry into forms and systems
  • Facilitate scheduling for departments or procedures
  • Coordinate with medical staff and verify room and equipment availability
  • Collect co-payments and obtain patient signatures
  • Escort patients as needed
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare policies and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Adapt to a rotating shift schedule, including weekends

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic tests, and procedures
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computer applications like Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality

Schedule

Full-time, non-exempt role with a rotating shift schedule, including weekends.
