About the role
Provides administrative leadership over registration, graduation, academic records, degree audit, and NCAA certification. Serves as the university's FERPA compliance officer. Provides administrative leadership and supervision for the Office of the Registrar.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and ensure the integrity of all student academic records
- Sustain current and initiate new programs and services for university students and faculty
- Oversee the registration process and graduation policies and procedures
- Manage production of Academic Bulletin and its publication
- Provide leadership in the implementation of technology to enhance services to students and faculty
- Certify student-athlete eligibility
- Serve on the Academic Council, Graduate and Undergraduate Studies Committees, University Studies Committee, Academic Appeals Committee, and other committees at MSU and in the state as identified by the President or Provost
- Work to ensure the university's compliance with FERPA regulations
- Support the academic mission through active involvement with academic and student affairs, information systems, and student financial services collaborations
- Provide leadership and management of the automated degree audit system
- Ensure accurate and timely data reporting in collaboration with Office of Institutional Research
- Assist with assuring the university's compliance with NCAA rules and regulations as provided in the NCAA Division I Manual and member conferences
