Job Summary

We are seeking a professional Registrar for our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for ensuring that patients are admitted efficiently, courteously, and in a timely manner. You will provide accurate demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate coding, billing, and claims submission.

Qualifications

• Minimum (1) year of experience in a medical office setting (i.e. ambulatory surgery center, hospital, doctors' office)
• BLS may be required as per facility standard

What you will do

• Facilitate patient admissions by reviewing all information with your patient, completing appropriate forms, and copying insurance cards and photo identification
• Collect and document all collection actions for your patient’s co-payment and deductibles at the time of service and issue appropriate payment receipts
• Prepare, collect, and deliver patient charts and pull previous medical records
• Manage the reception area and greet patients and family members in a professional manner

This new surgery center is set to open in July 2021 in Brentwood, Tennessee. We have skilled and talented surgeons in the community who are committed to its success. Brentwood Surgery Center will have 3 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms. This state-of-the-art facility will perform an array of outpatient surgery from multiple specialties. Our specialties include orthopedics, total joints, endoscopy, general surgery, GYN, and podiatry. Brentwood Surgery Center will be a CMS certified facility accredited with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (“AAAHC”).
