Skillset
- Venipuncture, catheter placement, and sample collection
- Diagnostics imaging assistance and basic interpretation (radiographs, ultrasound support)
- Proficient in Anesthesia and monitoring (vitals, depth assessment, adjustments)
- Meditation calculation and administration (IV, IM, SQ, CRIs)
- Fluid therapy setup and maintenance
- Surgical prep, sterile technique, and instrument handling
- Patient monitoring (vitals, pain scoring, trend recognition)
- Nursing care for hospitalized patients (nutrition, wound care, hygiene)
- Running diagnostics (bloodwork, urine, cytology)
What you'll bring
- A Registered/Provisional Veterinary Technician required
- 2+ years working in a veterinary clinic
- Emergency or Specialty experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community we serve
- Reliable, organized, and committed to provide high level care to our patients and clients
- A craving for lifelong learning and continuous improvements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected
- Honesty, integrity, and a desire to have fun!
Compensation
- Base pay: $24.00 – $29.00 per hour
- Swing shift differential: +$3.00/hour
- Overnight differential: +$5.00/hour
- Surgery Technicians On-Call Extras: $8.00/hr extra when on call, if you come in or not
- $350 for each procedure completed
- Eligible for overtime and shift differentials
