Registered Veterinary Technician - Patient Care or Surgery Center

About the role

A patient care or surgery center is seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both patient care and surgery settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes
• Care for surgical patients pre- and post-operatively
• Prepare and maintain medical records
• Provide customer service to clients

Requirements

• Current registration as a Registered Veterinary Technician
• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology or related field
• Experience in veterinary patient care and/or surgery
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Knowledge of veterinary pharmacology and anesthesia
• Experience with medical equipment and supplies
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Good computer skills including data entry and basic programming
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Pay

The pay range for this position is $25,000 - $35,000 annually.
