Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and treatments
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Perform diagnostic tests and record results accurately
- Care for hospitalized patients and monitor their progress
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment
- Communicate effectively with clients and other team members
- Document patient care and treatment in electronic health records
Requirements
- Current RVT certification from the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVS)
- At least 1 year of experience as a veterinary technician
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for travel between locations)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology or related field preferred
- Experience with electronic health records (EHRs)
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology
- Good organizational and time management skills
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
- Knowledge of anesthesia and surgical procedures
