Registered Veterinary Technician
About the role
Arkansas Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.
Responsibilities
- Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
- Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Assisting in surgery
- Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
- Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
- Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
Requirements
- 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the state of Arkansas
- Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
- Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
- Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
- Radiology positioning and safety protocols
- Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
- Accurate medical record documentation
- Client education and communication
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
Qualifications
- Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license

Pay
Compensation: $18-$21 per hour, for each hour worked
Schedule and compensation
This is a full-time position, with availability needed Monday-Friday and one Saturday a month from 7:45am-12p.
